BOYS GRASSROOTS

Our grassroots programs are our players first introduction to team-based participation although have a distinct focus on individual skill development. Our priorities during this fundamental phase of learning are to balance skill development and small sided game formats with an enjoyable experience that will foster a passion for the game of soccer. Players in grassroots programs participate in separate gendered single year groups (e.g.; BU5, GU5, BU6. GU6….) and are coached by NCCP community certified volunteer coaches. Sessions are supervised by members of the OUSC Technical staff and for each week coaches are provided with detailed session plans focused around a variety of skill development topics. Spring grassroots programming takes place twice a week in May and June.
